International Speaker, Jen Groover shares her methods to living your best life in her latest book “The MORE Method”

For the last four years I have been training in the field of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).  I first learned about this much needed soft skill set from my friend and mentor Jen Groover.  Jen has been an in-demand speaker and consultant in the field of Emotional Intelligence for the last 15 years and has just released her newest book “The MORE Method – The Simple Formula to Get MORE of Everything You Desire in Life.”

As an avid reader, I read about a book a week to continue to strengthen my skills sets in EQ.  Jen once taught me that the moment you feel you have mastered EQ, the universe tests you.  And, oh how right she is!

My life has changed profoundly since I started studying and implementing various practices of Emotional Intelligence.  I was once an insecure and shy girl and now I am a motivational speaker myself! 

Emotional intelligence is defined as being aware of one’s own emotions and learning how to regulate them.  While many books I have read on the subject matter come from a strict psychological point of view, Jen stresses the importance of learning it from a physiological standpoint as well.

Jen states, “nothing in life is exclusive.  Everything is interconnected.”  If one of the four pillars of life – our health, finances, relationships, and personal growth suffers, other areas in our life suffers as well.  This is something that so many of us tend to overlook.  For example, if you are stressed about how you are going to pay the bills, your health will suffer and you may also take out your anxiety on your spouse or children.  When we realize that all four components are intertwined and manage each aspect in a productive way, it is only then that we can truly reach a higher state of happiness in life.

In “The MORE Method,” Jen shares many personal stories and how she learned from each one to enhance her own mental well-being.  Many of her fears and pain stemmed from her childhood, and as an adult, she learned to recognize how her subconscious belief system affected her personal growth.  This is something that all of us carry within us, and Jen gives detailed steps how to overcome and grow stronger as an individual.
