How I Got NAKED with a Navy SEAL

As a speaker on Emotional Intelligence and mindset shifts, you might think I have it all "together." However, the truth is that while I excel in many areas of my life, there are still areas where I lack the discipline and guidance to achieve my goals.

One area that I have struggled with for many years is my diet and health. Over the last five years, I found myself gaining 40 pounds and developing a strong sugar addiction. While I was once able to quickly lose the excess weight, the opposite started to happen. Even though I went through menopause in my early 40s, I could no longer use it as an excuse for not prioritizing my health and adjusting my lifestyle.

Retired Navy SEAL - William Branum

After trying and failing with many diets, I knew that I needed help. While I understood the emotional triggers that led me to eat unhealthy foods, I realized that I needed more than just that to make a change. I needed a plan, an accountability partner, and a coach!

I enjoy challenging myself, so I decided to go all-in and work with Navy SEAL veteran, Coach William Branum. William served in the Navy for 26 years, including 23 years as a Navy SEAL, and was on 10 deployments with seven of those being combat deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

At first, I was intimidated by William's background, but he was patient, listened to my needs and learning style, and became my biggest supporter. He used his method of getting "NAKED" to guide me on my new journey.

To clarify, I did not literally get NAKED! Rather, William's method involved the following: Never quit, Accept failure, Kill mediocrity, Expose your fears, Do the work.

Through William's coaching, I found myself doing things I never knew I was capable of. He helped me face my fears, consistently work towards my goals, and change my bad habits and thought patterns. My physical transformation also created a mental strength within myself.

Although it may not seem like a big deal to many of you, going to the gym was a huge accomplishment for me. I had not set foot in a gym for over 15 years, and when William gave me a routine that required me to go, I experienced major anxiety. The first day I went alone, I nearly had an anxiety attack!

Ultimately, having a coach to guide me also gave me an accountability partner, which is something we all need in any aspect of our lives. It is much more rewarding to share our goals with someone who is accomplished in their field.

Coach William is a leadership and business coach who used his methods to help me with my health and fitness journey. I am pleased to say that I have since lost 16 pounds, gained muscle, lost fat, and am now addicted to working out in the gym!

However, what I gained is more than just physical transformation; I gained a great friend and a stronger mindset.

My advice to you - GET NAKED!
